In 2017, TotalEnergies entrusted us with the management of the New RBI project at its Gonfreville l'Orcher site (76).
The New RBI project involves the deployment of the DNV Synergi RBI software solution enabling the use of a criticality-based inspection method, otherwise known as Risk-Based Inspection (RBI). Based on the latest version of API 580, the software optimizes the management of industrial site integrity and enhances safety.
Various tasks were carried out as part of the operation, including corrosion studies, data collection, markup of corrosion loops on PIDs, recording of piping lengths on isometrics and compilation of ESP inspection histories.
This project, which mobilized almost a dozen employees at peak times, was successfully completed in 2022, after 5 years of intensive work. Thanks to this success, Alpha Maintenance has since been selected to manage New RBI projects at most of TotalEnergies' French and European sites. It has led to the management of equivalent projects at TotalEnergies sites in La Mède, Feyzin, Donges, Antwerp in Belgium and Leuna in Germany.
